Last week we celbrated Ryks 2nd birthday! We had a Barney party for him since he is OBSESSED with Barney right now. We celebrated by having a friends party in the morning then a fam party that night. We had a fun bounce house, green and purple treats and lots of fun with the family and friends that we love! Happy birthday to my special little dude, I love him so much!!!

This month...Aug 11th to be exact we will be celebrating our sweet little Ryk's 2nd birthday!!! I cant believe that my babies are here! Its crazy to think that my due date isn't for another few weeks and my babes are 1 month old! Holy cow!!! So here's the story...Mike and I had just finished watching a movie on saturday night...well it was Sunday morning...12:30 am. I was having some stomach pain so I jumped in and took a nice warm bath, but the pain didnt really go away. I layed in bed thinking/hoping that the pain would go away, but nope just got worse and worse. I got up and walked around and once again nope that didnt work. So Mike called the on call dr since my dr left the day before for Tahiti (how dare he :) ) he asked me a few questions and before you know it we were on the way to the hospital. When i got to he hospital I was told that i was dialated to a 5 and 90% efaced, so needless to say these babes were coming weather I liked it or not. Londyn, baby b, the little stink was breach so I HAD to have a c-section! OH MY HECK-WORSE thing I have EVER experienced in all 29 years of life! Okay I may be being a little dramatic...but really it was horrible. I didnt feel any pain or anything like that, but it was so claustrophobic, extremley hot and I didnt have my dr! Ill spare the other details, but after being in labor from start to finish of 5 hours our little angels had arrived. Because they were 7 weeks early I delivered them then they were rushed through the windows to other drs and nurses in the NICU. I didnt get to see my little sweethearts until 5:30 that night. Addisyn had to be on oxygen for a day and a half and Londyn was on it for ONLY 3 hours!!! They were in the NICU for exactly 2weeks! Such a miracle! The nurses told me to plan on them NOT going home the same day, but our little champs proved them wrong! We are so thankful that they are here with us and we are the proud parents of now 3 beautiful, healthy, amazing children! We feel so blessed...we ARE so blessed! :)

An update...

Two weeks of bed rest finished and hopefully 5 or more to go! Yesterday I was 31 weeks! I ws able to get out of the house for the first time yesterday in 2 weeks to go to my drs appointment! I was so excited to get ready-really ready, smell the fresh air and see the world again :) My drs appoint. went really well! Baby A is weighing 3lbs 13oz and baby b is 3lbs 11 oz! The dr is hopful tha ill mke it to atleast the 34 mark. Ideally he wants me to get to 36 weeks, but 34 is not shabby either! I have to say bed rest isn't as bad as i thought. Obviously i wouldn't want to do this everday but given the sitution things are going pretty well! Mike has been the best help ever! He has really stepped up to the plate in every aspect! He takes care of Ryks, works, makes dinner, goes grocery shopping, cleans the house...and i mean the whole house...toliets, mirrors, vacumns, laundry, sweeps, mops, etc...makes frequent trips to the craft store and after all that still has the patience to put up with me! :) The hardest thing for me is seeing Ryks leave me in the mornings to go to a family members home to be watched. I'm sure he is having the time of his life being with my grandma, sister in law and big cousins, my mom, aunt and Mike's mom but it stll is hard for me since ive always been with my sweet boy! But I know the more I am down the better off the babes will be. Im so grateful for the many family and friends that have either called or come to visit while being down, it sure helps pass time! I have been keeping busy by reading, writing in my journal, listening to books on tape, making file folder games for Ryks, working on my leader personal progress and every now and then getting a nap in! :)So all in all life is good. I'm very thankful for the life I have and to be able to soon meet my precious little sweethearts!(But not too soon) :)

The most dreadful words....BED REST!!!!

On Friday January 7th I was told the most depressing 2 words that I new were probably coming my way but still did NOT want to hear...BED REST! I am 29 weeks.Full term for twins is 36 weeks or more so that is the number that we are shooting for. I've already started to dialate so that is why Im on bed rest. I feel awesome physically so its hard to be down when there's still a few things that I would of liked to have gotten done.I hope and pray that these next 7 weeks will go by quickly and that all will be well with our special baby girls!

With Thanksgiving next week I have been thinking a lot lately of what I am thankful for. Although, I try to reflect on my many blessings daily I thought I might publicly share some of the things that I find to be my GREATEST blessings...
...The gospel...the foundation that it is in my life.
Ryker and for exactly who he is and what he brings to my life and our families life...Oh I just LOVE my little dude SOOOO much!!!!....He makes me so HaPPy!
Mike- someone who is ALWAYS...ALWAYS....ALWAYS looking for the PoSiTiVe in every situation...and is the BEST husband that I could have ever asked for....Love him so much!
Having the ablilty to have kids and especially at this time to be preggo with twin baby gIrLS!!!....
My MoM...my Very Best Friend...someone who I can always count on, someone who's so fun and creative and LOVES life and having fun as much as I do...
My Dad....think I have a lot of energy-he runs circles around me! He is so great with Ryker-he makes an attempt to see "his little guys"(nephews included) as much as possible every week if not every day :) I just love my dad so much....
...Family. I feel so lucky and blessed to have the fun, energetic, close family that I do...we are always doing something fun and making memories together!...
Church calling...I truly feel that being in the Young Womens Presidency is one of the Greatest callings I have ever had...I just love it...!
Friendships...so thankful to be able to have friends in my life who I know I can always turn to and have a good laugh with!...
My health and my families health....so thankful for this.....
Food, shelter, clothes, ability to speak, see, hear, touch, walk, the gift of life and the blessing I have to be alive and share my journey of life with family and friends! I am so blessed. I hope whoever reads this will also be able to reflect on ALL of your many blessings too...we all have so much to be thankful for! Happy Thanksgiving!!! Thank you for being a blessing in my life!

Wow! Its been awhile since I last posted so I thought it was about time! To start off we celebrated Ryks first birthday in August!We decided to have a circus party for him and it was a rip roarin good time! Im so so so mad at myself that I didnt take more pics but I will post the ones that we did take. We had hot dogs, snowcones, lemonade, peanuts, chips, candy, watermelon and of course games! With the help of my mom we made booths. We had a fishing booth, duck pond,photo booth, tatoo booth, kissing booth, clown toss, 3 ring toss and animal bowl. My mom made the cutest clown cupcakes and a clown smash cake for Ryks. It was such a fun day and Im thankful to all of our family and friends that were there to support Ryks and us that day!!! The next most exciting news is that Im pregnant with twins! Yep thats right-TWINS!!! I cant hardly believe it either! My mom is a twin so I was bound to have them too! :)This is how we told our family and friends that we were having twins. Afer Ryks finished his birthdy cake we changed him into this shirt and brought him out to show everyone. The moment was priceless! I went in today for a ultrasound and Im measuring 13 1/2 weeks! I heard the 2 heart beats, saw 2 heads, and 2 sets of arms and legs with fingers and toes and that they are both very very active thus far in there short little 13 1/2 weeks of life! Its so crazy to think that there are 2 little humans being developed in my stomach! We are thrilled, nervous, scared, excited, anxious...all the emotions you can think of...but most of all we realize how very very blessed we are to have this opportunity! And the last new change in the Stringham household is that I was recently called to serve as the 1st counselor in the YW! I couldn't ask for a better calling! I love the energy that the youth have and Im so excited to get to know the yw better and to serve them along with my presidency! Life is good! :)

We had a fabulous 4th of July weekend! We started the holiday off by attending the Oakly Rodeo! We have been doing this family/friend tradition for 10 years now and I still LOVE it! I was really wanting to find some cowboy boots that Ryks could sport but no luck, so we had to settle for some patriotic flip flops that were just as cute! The rodeo was so fun as we had a picnic beforehand then the rodeo and the fun firework display after. I love this time of year! The next day we headed up to Bear Lake were we stayed and played all weekend! My mom makes every holiday so fun and special, I hope I can follow in her shoes with Ryks and future kiddos someday!

Mikes BiRthDaY/St George,Vegas/Fathers Day!!

On June 19th was Mike's 29th birthday and fatehrs day was the next day. So to celebrate the 2 big occasions we decided to take a much needed vacation and headed down south! We went to St George and Vegas with our good friends, the Bells. They have a little girl 2 months younger than Ryker so was nice to go with someone who related to our situation. The first night in St George we saw Tarzan at Tuachan. It was amazing. It was a great night to be outside under the stars sitting in the warm weather! It was a windy at first but eventually stopped. The play was so much fun! I love the plays down there. I was a little worried about Ryks and how he would handle sitting for that amount of time and for the fact that the play would go later than his bed time. But...he did AWESOME! But kiddos did! He sat on my lap 3/4 of the play before falling asleep. He loved watching the flying monkeys and the flashing lights and loud noises. On Thursday we headed down to Vegas where we ate, shopped, swam, guys saw A Team us girls saw a Circue de Soleil show and shopped and ate some more! It was so nice to get away and spend time with our little fam and the Bells fam. Thank you for such a fun trip!

Mother's Day/Bearlake!

This was my official first year to celebrate Mother's Day as a mom! And I must say I loved it! I had such a fun day! To start the day off I had to speak in sacrament (NOT so fun) I really really really hate public speaking, but Im glad that I did it and its over with! :) We then took Ryk's on his first bike ride! He loved it! He wasnt to fond of his helmet, but besides that he loved the heck out of it! We then went to my grandmas where we celebrated Mother's Day and my mom and aunts birthday since they are twins! My aunt gave my mom a bike and she loves it! Im excited to go to Jordan Parkway and go on bikerides. My mom brought a pinata for the kids and we played some games! It was so much fun!!! We then headed up to Mikes grandparents where his family was and had dessert there. It was a wonderful day and I'm so thankful for the opportunity that i have to be a mom to Ryker!
This past weekend we headed up to Bearlake to get the dirt ready for sod. It was such a nice weekend up there. The weather was perfect! Ryker, my nephews, and Gabe loved playing in the dirt! Ryker loved it so much that he decided to eat some of it-gross! Brax found a worm and loved playing with it! Boys will be boys! Im excited to the memories that will be made this year at our family cabin! Now, just bring on the good weather!

Yep that's right, our little stink is 9 months! I cant beleive that he is as old as long as I was pregnant with him! How time flies when you are having fun!I love his sweet little personality that he has and is getting-he really is so sweet and is the best baby! At 9 months he lays on his back and scoots and rolls everywhere- he is not crawling yet. He is a big time cheese ball-loves showing off his 2 bottom teeth. He grabs for anything and everything! Learned how to do "motor boat" with his lips so when Im feeding him the food gets all over the both of us! He is babbling like crazy and is very very active! I can't believe how much love I have for this sweet little angel! He is my best bud and we have so much fun together! Happy 9 months my little Ryk's!!!

Vegas, Baby!

A few weeks ago we had the opportunity to head to Las Vegas! Mike, my dad, and brother were headed down there for the car races so the girls and kiddos decided to tag along! It was so much fun to get away and be in the warm, sunny weather! We had a great time swimming, shopping, walking the strip watching the shows, atending the dolphin exhibit and the guys enjoyed the races. I was a little worried with how Ryk's was going to do on the drive down and back and with his naps, but like the little champ he is he did awesome!

We have been busy having some fun this past month but for starters a little update on Ryker's surgery. He has recovered so well! This past monday marked his 2 week mark and I was able to take off the remaining tape strips. The scar looks a lot better than I had ever imagined! He had about 15-20 stitches and they were the disolvable ones so they are all gone! Its amazing the things these drs can do these days, Im so grateful for them!
Besides Rykers surgery we have been able to have some fun too! Tonight we took Ryker and our friends the Bells met us down at the mall to have our kiddos sit on the easter bunnys lap. Ryker did so good-he didnt even cry! Next year may be a different story! But we sure had fun posing them with the bunny and with the decoartions they had sitting the bunny station.
I've decided that every other week Im going to plan an AdVeNtUrE DaY for Ryker and friends! So if any of you would like to join us please let me know...more the merrier! The first one was last Wednesday and we headed to Gardner Village to walk the Jordan Parkway and hang out for Gardner Village for a few hours. It was a lot of fun to get out and have some adult conversation while Ryker enjoyed being outside and enjoyed watching the ducks!
On another day my mom and I decided to take Ryker and my nephews to Discovery Gateway. The kids loved it, but by the time we left we were all exhausted!
One of the many reasons that I love this time of year is to get together with family to do our yearly tradition of dying easter eggs. This year I was even more excited to do this because it was Rykers first time dying eggs! He had a fun time trying to eat the hard boil eggs and dropping and cracking them :) The kids had fun putting on bunny ears and smiling big for the camera!
I cant believe how big my little munchkin is getting! Everyday is such an adventure with him! We have so much fun together! He is at such a fun age! He can sit up all by himself, smiles and giggles all day long...which in return allows me to smile right along with him, says dadadada...(sad day that was :) ), loves jumping in his jumping johnny, still loves his tubbies and LoVes to get down and play play play! Very active little dude he already is! I feel so privledged to be his mom!

Rykers surgery

Oh how I am glad this day has come on gone! Ryker was born with what is called a sebaceous nevi. Its a type of mole that can be cancerous once puberty hits. The drs recommended us taking it sometime before then or now because he wont remember the surgery. So we took there advice and had them remove it! I have been worried about this mole his whole 7 months of life...(I know weird, me worry???...hahah right!)He would often scratch it til it would bleed so I knew it must be irritating him. So we made the appointment and off it came! He had to fast for 8 hours!!! I was a little nervous about this because that is a long time for a babe who doesn't understand why he is starving and no one is feeding him, but he did awesome! Luckily, his appointment was at 8:45 Monday morning so he wasn't awake for an extremly long time without being feed. The staff were amazing and really helped ease my stress and worry! When we first got there we were taken into a room where they took Rykers vital signs and where I changed him into his little scrubs-too cute! They were just tiny! Then we met with the anesthesilogist, the surgery nurse and finally the dr. They explained to us what was going to happen. The anesthesilogist walked with us to a certain point then he said okay from here I will take Ryker. My heart sank,the river of tears came a flowin, we said our I love you's and off he went with some stranger...needless to say that was the most difficult part! Mike and I headed off to the cafeteria where we enjoyed some sweet rolls that some of our friends brought to us...thank you Bell's, they were delicious! We then headed back to the waiting room and waited for about 10 min before they called us back into the consiltation room. The dr said that they were able to get all of it and he is doing great! Yay!!! This was music to my ears! I was then able to go to the post op room and see my sweet boy! When I walked back into where he was and saw him laying on the bed drinking his bottle I was overwhelmed with the love that I have for this sweet little boy. The nurses were laughing and asked if he was mine. I said yes he is! They said he is the best baby, when he woke up from the anesthesia he was laughing, singing and talking. This brought a smile to my face because this is exactly how my little guy is when he wakes up! I was then able to pick him up and hold him. He head bobbing around, it was funny! We then moved into the recovery room where Mike was able to join us. We were there for about 30 min then we were able to come home! I am so grateful for the prayers that were answered and that our little guy is home, safe and doing very very well! I am SO glad this day is over with! I feel so blessed to live by such an amazing childrens hospital! Thanks for all the prayers,love and support that was shown to our little family on this day!

SIX Months!

I can't believe that my Ryk's is 6 months old! Where has the time gone?! We took him into the dr today for his check up and he weighs 17 lbs even (42 percentile) and is 27.5 inches long (59 percentile). He is a growing boy!

He is starting to get a little personality and I love it! He is the happiest, smiliest baby ever and he makes me so HAPPY!
At 6 months Ryk's can...
*Sit on his own for about 5-10 secs before tumbling over :)
*Eat solid foods...LOVES everything that we have given him...peas, green beans, squash, sweet potatoes, pears, applesauce,etc...
*Sleeps through the night!!!! YES!!! Goes to bed between 9-10 wakes around 6 for a feeding then back to bed and wakes around 830 for the day!
*Takes 4-5 naps a day
*Smiles ALL of the time
*Giggles
*Loves finding his toes and chewing on them

*Roll over on his left side from tummy to back...(hates tummy time!)
*Makes the cutest sounds like ahh and ooohhhh
*Sits in his tubby without the net
*Puts everything and anything in his mouth
*He is ticklish on his sides and giggles like crazy when we tickle him

He is my best bud and I Love him to pieces! I feel so privleged to be his mom! I love EVERYTHING about him and he makes me so happy! Happy 6 months tomorrow my sweet little Ryk...you make mom and dad so PROUD! We Love You!

Christmas & New Year's

We had such a fun, busy, eventful first Christmas with Ryker! Christmas Eve my dad and I did our annual Christmas Eve shopping tradition for my mom. Later that night we went to my Grandma Gunthers for dinner and presents then to Mikes grandparents for more dinner and presents. When we got home we put Ryker to bed and put his gifts from Santa under the tree! It was so much fun! I didn't wrap them this year because I figured it would be the one and only year that I wouldn't have to. Christmas morning Mike and I got up at 7 to exchange gifts with each other. Rykers gift to us this year was sleeping in until 8:15! Yay! Then the fun began...off to my parents for Christmas breakfast and gifts, then to Mikes parents for more food and gifts, then to my Grandpa Bruces house for more fun then to Mikes grandparent Stringhams and the last and final stop is to my grandpa Dick and Dee's house. It was a go go day but I wouldnt have it any other way! Ryker was a little champ and was just happy to be there. We got a lot of fun things this year..Ryker got money, jumping johnny, saucer, clothes...and MORE clothes...he will be outfitted for a good while. Mike got a wakeboard, cologne, shoes, clothes and money and I got a Cricut, clothes perfume, money, shoes, and the best gift of all was having Ryker there to share this special time of year with!
>For New Years we headed to Mikes aunts house for food to start the night off then we headed down to Lehi to our friends Ben and Allison's house where we had games and lots more food and celebrated the New Year with them and some friends! The next morning we took off and headed to Bear Lake. My family had gone up the day before so they were waiting for us. The lake was frozen so we pulled a tube behind the wheelers on the lake, it was a blast! Mike even went on a tube with Ryker...and he loved it...loved it so much that he fell asleep! :) 2009 was a fabulous year, I have so much to be grateful for...and heres to another fabulous year...hope 2010 brings you lots of happiness and good cheeer!

I have been such a slacker lately since becoming a member of facebook :) But hopefully I will be better! I had to update my blog because I LOVE this time of year! I love the Christmas decorations, the snow, the smells, lights, the special Christmas Spirit...but I am most excited to celebrate Christmas with Ryker! He will be 4 months old on Dec 11th...yep 4 MONTHS! I can't believe how fast time has gone by! He is growing too fast! Im not sure what he weighs right now we take him in for his 4 month appointment next week...but Im thinking around 15-16 lbs! He sure likes his food! He is getting a little more hair...and when I say little I mean little. But hey atleast we can still do a fauhawk! He is the happiest baby! He is always smiling, laughing, talking and making me us so happy! He loves to sit in his bumbo and look around acting like a big boy! I am a very lucky mom/wife to be able to share this special time of year with him and Mike! Recenlty Mike got put in as Elder's Qurom President. He still has lots and lots to learn but he is enjoying it. I am still on the enrichment committee and teaching the 16-17 year old sunday school class. Life is so good and we are thankful each day that we have together! We hope you and your families are all doing well too and wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year! On October 11th not only did we celebrate Ryker's 2 months but Mike also blessed him that day. It was a perfect day! The blessing that Mike gave Ryker was amazing, Ryker was such a sweetheart during his blessing, we had delicious soups, breadsticks, and treats and were supported by our loving family and friends. Thanks to everyone that helped make Rykers blessing so special and memorable! We love you!

I cant believe how fast our little Ryker is growing!We weighed him about 2 weeks ago and he weighed 11 lbs 4 oz! I cant wait to see how much he weighs at his 2 month appointment! He is my little champ and I love seeing him grow...he is such a good baby

I love this time of year! I love the fresh crisp fall air, bright vibrant leaves and being cozy warm! -My nephew started playing soccer this year! He is so cute to watch! At first he was a little hesitant to get on the field and play,but now he loves it! My brother is his coach and I think he loves it too...well atleast it is teaching him patience! :) We are so blessed and thankful for such a sweet baby! My mom had seen these cute halloween decorations on Good Things Utah on Friday so we made them why the guys were at priesthood! They were super easy and fun to make...I think they turned out super cute and spooky! Thanks mom!

His new life jacket fits him so good, ok well mabybe by next boating season! :)

Friday September 11th Ryker was one month! I cant believe how fast the time has gone by! In his first month of life he has accomplished so much! He is such a good eater...he now weighs 9lbs 4 oz! Yay! He loves to go on walks, rides in the car, loves to be held and cuddled, loves his tubbies then to be drenched in baby lotion, his hair done in a mauhawk, loves to make lots and lots of different noises when he sleeps, loves his bouncy chair ( still not to fond of his swing) sleeps like a champ during the day, but still working on his love of sleeping at night :) is now able to roll back and forth from side to side (amazing!) when Im up close he is able to follow my face with his eyes, loves being with his cousins, loves getting his picture taken and most importnt of all he has won over his parents hearts ( that was a given, but Im still so amazed how fast and how much love I have for my baby boy! I am one proud, blessed person to be the mom of my baby Ryker! I love him so much and I love seeing his progress that he is making on a daily basis! I love you so much my lil Ryker! Happy One Month Birthday my sweetboy!!!

Yesterday was Ryker's 2 week birhtday! I cant believe that he is already 2 weeks old! Time flys by! We took him to his 2 week dr apppointment yesterday and he dr sid he is looking awesome...that was music o my ears! As a new mom I worry about everything! When he was released from the hospital he weighed 6 10 and he was 19.5" but yesterday he weighed in at 7 10 and measured 21"!!! Yay-this made me so happy! He had to get his PKU done yesterday so they had to poke his foot for blood-he whimpered for about 10 secs then fell asleep! He is such a tough little guy yet he is so sweet-such a delight in our family! In his first 2 weeks of life we have gotten him out and about getting him use to our busy lives! We have taken him to Bear Lake ( 2 times) , the Bees game, the park, Park City, and to the grocery store. He is such a little champ and does so well in his car seat! I love my little Ryker so much!

Wow! How our lives have changed! I have a friend who just had a babe and she said that it rocked her world...I just laughed and thought yeah right...but having a baby totally rocks your world! Life is not the same nor will it ever. Today baby Ryker is one week and 2 days! I cant believe how fast time flies! He is doing so great! He truly is such a blessing and I couldn't have asked for a happier, healthier more perfect baby then he is. He is such a sweet heart! Its amazing how much love you automatically have for someone who has been part of your family for just a few short days...but its true, the love that I have for my little guy is undescribeable! He eats, sleeps, goes through a lot of diapers, loves his tubby time ( just like his mom) and is bringing much happiness and joy in our home! We took him up to Bear Lake for the first time on Tuesday and he loves it up there already! His first official outting was to my aunt Jodi's house for a bbq this past sunday. On Monday we ventured out and went to the fabric store. Being a mom is something that I have always dreamed of and now that I am I couldnt be happier...wish I was getting a little more sleep :) but besides that thigns couldn't be more perfect! I am so blessed and thankful for such a sweet baby boy and amazing husband who I swear knows more about raising a child than I do! :)

Ryker Has Arrived Safe And Sound

The little guy has made his grand entrance into this world. He weighed in at 7lbs 3oz and is 19 1/2 inches long. He arrived at 9:03pm on Tuesday the 11th. Both him and mommy are doing great.
We came to our weekly appointment on tuesday afternoon. The nurse said that the measurement was right along schedule and when the doctor came in he asked if Heather had been having any contractions and she said no. He then said to plan on coming in next week for another appointment and we would see how things are. The doctor then decided to check and see if she had dialated further from our last visit. After checking, he said that she was dialated to a 7 and that it would probably be a good idea to head downstairs and have the baby. So we went downstairs, checked in, and got all ready to go. The dr. came down and broke Heather's water. Shortly thereafter Heather requested the epidural. She figured that since she hadn't been in any pain thus far that she would like to continue the trend all the way to the end. After waiting until she was completely dialated with some help from a little pitocin, Heather pushed for about 2 hours and Ryker was here!!! He's doing great so far. He loves to sleep and is already a great eater. We couldn't have asked for anything better.Heather is doing great as well. She's already up walking around and is almost as active as she was before.

The dr is back, my bags are packed, house is cleaned, toes are freshly painted, hair is colored and the fridge is stocked...BrIng ON tHe BaBy! I go in tomorrow to have my weekly visit with the dr, so we will see what he has to say! Hopefully he will say, "Ok, lets take him right now"...wishful thinking I know! :) My anxiety of child birth is still there but my butterflies, happiness and excitement of finally being able to see what he looks like and to hold him totally over takes the delivery anxiety! :) So Baby Stringham...we are ready whenever you are! We can hardly wait for your arrival!!!!

I had another drs. appointment yesterday, but without my dr! He is out of town! Agh!!! He won't be back until Saturday, I am hoping and praying that he gets back before our little guy decides he wants to come. :) The nurse measured me and said I hate to say this, but I don't think you will last until Saturday! Uh-oh! I can't believe that he will be here anyday now! Its crazy, its easy to say that, but to actually really think that I will be a mom anyday now is mind boggling. Im mixed with all different emotions right now. I am so thrilled and excited to see what he is going to look like! I am so excited to dress him and to put good smelling lotion on him and to do his hair in a mow-hawk (sp?) There are so many things that I am excited for! But I am also nervous that I wont know what to do in certain situations...and that is when I call in reinforcements....MOM!!!!! :) I am so EXCITED for this new adventure in our lives and I am so blessed to become a mom in maybe a few short days or even.....hours!!!! :)

Kenny Concert

So on July 26th we went to the Kenny concert. It was extremely hot and muggy... especially at 8 1/2 months pregnant. We had awesome seats on the floor that I won from a radio station back in March. It was great because they were so close and we were in the shade the whole time.. except for when we walked around the whole place looking for a stupid place that would sell snowcones that we had to have. The concert was a blast and we were glad we got to go!

Ok, so I went to the hospital today and I am dialated to a 2+ and 80% efaced...so basically the Doc says that I can have the little guy any day now!!! Agh!!! So nerve racking! We finally finished his nursery, but mentally I am not prepared for the whole labor/delivery part! When I think of it it gives me anxiety, so I try not to think about it too much :) But I figure millions of women have had babies and they have survived, so I will too...well that's what Mike keeps telling me. I tend to be a bit of a worrier........over everything! Besides the whole getting him part I am thrilled to see our little guy! I wonder what he will look like? Im so excited to find out! We are suppose to go to Bear Lake Raspberry Days on Thursday and then head to Flaming Gorge on Friday until Sunday. The Dr had to break the bad news to us today that Bear Lake is still a go because there our Drs and a hospital near by, but he had to put the cabosh in F.G. A little dissapointing, but I'd rather be safe than sorry! Overall this pregnancy has been fabulous! If all my pregnancies can go like this one I will be having a bajillion of kiddo's! I only threw up once and that was because I took a prenatal on an empty stomach. Besides that I have felt great, i haven't felt any different besides the fact that my stomach is growing bigger and bigger! I am so grateful and excited to become a mom any day now! I just hope and pray that all will go well with the labor/delivery process! :

Kisses and hugs from my nephews. Bear Lake. Sleeping at Bear Lake where its nice and cool. Riding the waves of Bear Lake. Laying out. Watching softball. Sleeping in. Finishing our babies soon to be nursery! Friends. Fires in the canyons. Coolness of the air conditioner. Bright, warm sunshine. Taking walks early in the cool morning or at dusk. Sitting outside at Yougurt Stop enjoying a nice cup of yogurt. Riding our beach crusiers around our neighborhood. Watching nephews/cousins splash in the swimming pool. Smell of campfires. Smell of hotdogs/hamburgers bar-b-qing. Bees games. Fireworks. Awaiting the arrival of our sweet, precious little boy!!!!

I hope you all had a fabulous 4th! As a family tradition we go to the Oakley Rodeo one of the nights it is going on. It was so much fun, I love getting out and seeing all the action. But I hate the ropping og the calves, its so sad...but sure is entertaining. On Thursday we headed up to Bear Lake for the weekend. We had a great time up there with family! On the fourth we took the boat out on the water and watched the fireworks. It was a great weekend and I sure love being with my family who makes life so fabulous! Happy Be-lated 4th!!! :)

Mike's birthday was Friday June 19th! I decided to surprise him when he got home from the gym before he went into work on Friday by decorating our bedroom door with differnt sayings and reasons why I love him! After which I made him breakfast! Later that afternoon we went out to Daybreak Lake and had a picnic and went a rubber raft around the lake. It was so much fun! I would totally recommend doing it, we had a blast! But keep in mind that the lake is a lot bigger then we had anticipated. At one point we got tired of rowing against the wind...well when I say "WE" I mean "Mike" got tired of rowing so we took the boat out and carried it along the path for a bit. But after getting rocks jabbed into our feet we decided to put the boat back in and Mike rowed us back to our car! Yay! Overall, it was a fabulous experience and can't wait to go out there again! That night we went out to dinner and saw the movie Year One. Lamest movie I have ever seen. I would not recommend going to see it. Happy 28th Birthday Mike...sure do love you! :)

On Saturday morning my brother decided he wanted to take out my parents boat. Crazy idea with the way that the weather has been, but fortunatly the weather was great! We headed up to Echo and went wake boarding and water skiing, we had a great time!

Yesterday was our ONE year anniversary! I can't believe that it has already been one year! Where has the time gone?! Seriously, it seems just like yesterday that we got engaged. But now it has been one year and we are having a baby too! Life just goes by way too fast!
Mike and I decided that each year we are going to switch off and plan what we do for our anniversary. This year I voluntered to plan it since Mike planned our honeymoon. I planned it all and kept it a secret until the night of! I can't believe that I was able to pull it off because I tend to have a hard time keeping surprises! :)But on Tuesday when Mike got home from work I blind folded him and drove up to Solitude where we stayed a night in the resort up there. I made enchiladas,rice, and a raspberry jello salad one of his favorite meals. For dessert I ordered cookies just like the ones we had at our wedding. Wednesday morning we ate breakfast at Silver Fork Lodege. Neither one of us had been there before so it was a fun time! We went back to our condo and Mike got in the hot tub while I dangled my feet in the water since it is a little to hot for little Junior. To top off our day we did ceilings at the Salt Lake Temple, since that was the temple we got married in and then had dinner at the Garden. Im grateful that we got married a year ago and not yesterday do to the rain and the cold. Not that our day was that much warmer, but hey atleast we didnt have rain.
I am so thankful for the past year and for the opportunities Mike and I have been able to share with one another. I am so grateful for him and for the loving, kind, patient, thoughtful person that he is. I truly am so blessed to have him for Eternity..."Eternity Baby....Eternity"! Happy One Year Mike....with many, many, many more to come! :)I love you more today than yesterday, but not as much as tomorrow! I love you Mike!

Happy Birthday BB! Today is my brother Brandon's 30th birhtday! On Sunday my sister in law Lauren threw him a surprise party! It was so much fun! We had about 100 people there. She had it my parents and they rented a HUGE blow up slide! It literally took up their whole side yard. The kids had fun going up and down up and down the slide the entire night...and some adults joined in on the fun as well! Happy 30th BB...we LOVE you!

I can't tell you how many times I have driven by Yogurt Stop on Highland Drive, but just let me tell you that I will be stopping by there more often now! Yesterday my mom, grandma, cousin and myself got pedicures. After, we decided to stop in at Yogurt Stop. My mom and grandma had been there before but it was a first for me and my cousin. It was delicious and so much fun! You can choose between 2 different sizes of cups. Then you help yourself with whatever yogurt you want...they have 8 to choose from! Then, to top it all of they have rows of toppings that you can choose from that you put on all by yourself! It is so much fun! They weigh it by the ounce and its only 35 cents an ounce! This is a definate must try if you haven't already! :)

Well, I thought I would be a better blogger for the month of May,but to no surprise I wasn't. I look at everyone else's blog and see how cute they have formatted their's and I just get overwhelmed that I don't keep up on ours, but hopefully now things will change. May 22nd was my last day working at Riverton Elementary as the teacher for Head Start. This was my first experience working with this program and I have to say that overall it was a great one! It is a bitter sweet feeling having to leave these amazing kids and their families that I have become friends with. Its sad leaving them, but now it gives me some time to better prepare for little Junior who will be here in 2 short months! I don't know what I'm going to do with myself now that I don't have work to attend to. But I'm sure that I will find plenty to do to keep myself busy
For the Memorial day weekend we headed up to our family cabin in Bear Lake.! About a year and a half ago the cabin was torn down to build a new one. This weekend was the first weekend in a year and a half that we slept in it! It was amazing, I love sleeping up there! We spent most of the weekend moving in beds ( my dad and Mike)vacuming, dusting and basically getting everything ready for the big move in that we will be doing this next weekend I'm ready for the cabin to be complete and for many more fun memories to be made with my family!

We got back from Bear Lake on Monday and on Tuesday we headed to the land of sin....Las Vegas! Mikes parents were heading down and asked us if we wanted to join them. Since I dont work anymore and Mike sets his own work schedule we figured sure why not. It was nice to get away and relax. We did some shopping, layed out at the pool and got plenty of walking on the strip. It was a great week to spend time with Mike and our families!

Well...I figure that its been a good month now, so time for another post. :) I'm really trying to stay on top of this whole blogging world, but let's be honest I'm not so good at it! Anyways...April has been full of a lot of fun things! I felt the baby kick for the first time on March 30th! At first I really didn't think too much about it but now that I have felt it for the past month I know that its little Jr. letting us know that he is doing well! Its not to point where its all day everyday, but enough to let me know that he is definatley there! It's such a fun time right now. I am 6 months and 1 week prego right now! It's crazy how fast time has flown by! I have been doing some research on carseats and stollers, so if any of you already moms have a preference I would love to hear which ones! :)

Yesterday was an EXCITING day for us! We have been waiting for this day ever since I found out that I was prego! We found out that we are having a baby BOY! The ultrasound was amazing! Its crazy how they can see the baby in such full detail! The ultrasound tech said that he was all over the place and was surprised that I haven't felt him yet. Towards the end of the ultrasond the tech said that he had crossed his legs, and he was not uncrossing them...he was being a bit stubborn...wonder where he gets that from???? Certainly NOT his mother! :) She said that he everything looks normal and things are lookin great! The due date is still set for August 15th! I'm not looking forward to being pregnant in the hot summer months, but I am looking forward to the outside birthday parties we are going to have for him! After finding out what we were having we went on a baby shopping spree! Its crazy how many cute baby boy clothes they actually have out there! I've always seen darling little girl clothes, but there are a lot of cute boy clothes too!
Needless to say we are thrilled to be having a little boy! We are so blessed to have become parents this early in our marriage and to become parents in the next 5 months! We are so excited and are really looking forward to that day when he will finally be here!!!!

I hope you all have a great Valentine's Day! Our's was nice and relaxing. On Saturday we sleep in and I made Mike crepes for breakfast...this was a little bit scary since I have never ever made them...but they turned out alright. We then went and saw he movie Taken. It was so good! Very suspensful! That night we went to dinner with my bro and siser in law up in Oakley. We went to Road Island Diner! It was so much fun! It is a small train car or something similar from the 60's! A huge truck transferred it here from Road sland...hence the name Road Island Diner. It was a nice, relaxing day. The week leading up to Valentines was so fun! Everyday when I came home from work I found presents from Mike waiting for me! It was such a fun surprise! He is so thoughtful and creative! Married life is the BEST!!!!

Well...I think its about time for another post...it has been almost 9 months since I last posted. Its funny because a friend jokingly said next time you blog its going to be about you being pregnant....and sure enough...IM PREGNANT!!!! I am 3 1/2 months along now. The baby is due in August! Ive heard that being prego in the summer months is not fun, but Im trying to be optomistic and thinking of all of the fun birhtday parties we can have for our little one!!!! I have been so blessed to not be sick...I haven't thrown up once...thank heavens! The only difference is that I am extremly tired at nights, other than that Im good to go! Today marks my 14 week mark! Its crazy how fast it has gone by. We found out December 8th but recently let the cat out of the bag. It was so HARD to keep such EXCITING news hush hush for so long, but we did it and the outcome was great! Im still learning s...l...o...w...l...y about this whole blog thing so hopefully Ill get some fun updated pics up soon! :)

Can you believe it?! Our blog is up and running! I can’t promise how long it will be because I still can’t figure out how it all works, but here is a brief post to update you on what’s going on in our lives….
I am married….. I still can’t believe it! It’s so strange to refer to myself as Heather Stringham…but it’s getting easier!

On June 9th we had our wedding dinner at The Gathering Place at Gardner Village. It was very nice and the food was delicious!
As Mike has mentioned our wedding day was perfect, it was a lot of fun and I could not have asked for a better day! Planning a wedding can be stressful and very time consuming, but after seeing it all put together it made it all worth while! My mom was a great support and helped me out with all of the ideas! She is the best and is so creative!
The next day we were off to Maui for 8 days!! I had never been to Hawaii before, so I was so excited! It is so beautiful and relaxing! We had such a great time snorkeling, laying out at the beach, going on the dinner sunset cruise, shopping on front street (like every day) the luau at the Royal Lahaina, driving the road to Hana and waking up at 3:30 am to see the sunrise at the volcano…hahaha it was nuts!

It was so nice to get away and relax, I can’t wait until we get to go back!Be married is the best! I am so lucky to be married to such an amazing guy! He is perfect for me and I am so excited to share my future with him!

We're Married... its finally here!

I know, I know, its been six months since the last addition to our blog and there have been a lot of people getting on our case wondering when we were going to finally update it so after a lot of planning, a lot of stress, and a lot of waiting we finally tied the knot on June 10, 2008. It was a wonderful day for the both of us and Heather looked absolutely stunning.. as anyone might imagine.. The temple was sunny and warm but a bit windy... the reception was amazing. We had it in the backyard at the Horman's in Pepperwood. The best part was that there was no rain, although we were pretty scared for a while there we only had to deal with the temperature that was a little colder than we would have liked. Everything else went off without a hitch... Heather's parents (mainly Jacci) had every little detail planned out perfectly from the live band,the chinese looking ball things that hung in the trees,the matching centerpieces and everything else was perfectly arranged-- right down to the placement of photos and the cake. It was awesome!. Heather's grandpa owns a bakery and made all the big cookies for us. And to make things more "fun" we had Coldstone come and serve ice cream.It was a little chilly for ice cream but our guests didn't seem to care it was just too good to pass up. It was really a perfect night...well except for this part. I know its tradition to decorate the grooms car on the night of the reception.. and sure its a great time doing it.. but as the groom, when its time to clean up the mess, its not all fun and games. Those guilty I know who you are and the majority of you aren't married yet... be prepared... revenge is sweet...

Me and Mike love to get out and do things. We have done a lot of fun things these past 6 months!In October we went to California. We went to Disneyland, San Diego Temple, and the beach! For New Years Mike, me and some friends took a random road trip and we ended up in Evanston Wyoming to bring in the New Year! This past week we went on the Mexican Riveria Cruise and we went parasailing, renteed scooters and rhinos! Thes are just a few of the fun things we have done together! The Engagment...

I am learning how to make my own blog and this is so much fun! Keep in mind this is my first time "blogging" so bare with me as I figure out what I am doing! :)

Here goes nothing...
Me and Mike dated/hung out about 2 1/2 years ago. We "hung-out" for about 3 months. I thought he was such a great guy, but I just wasn't feeling it so we went our separate ways. This past 4Th of July we had a swimming/BBQ party at my friend Liz's house. Like I always do I sent out a mass text to everyone in my phone...Mike included. He came with some friends and we had a good time! Towards the end of the night a group of us decided to go to Olympus Hills Park and watch fireworks. While watching fireworks I thought, "wow he is really cute..and i hoped that he would ask me out. The following Sunday I met up with him to get a blanket that I left in his car while watching fireworks. That night he asked me out for the following Monday, Yes!!! We have been together ever sense :)

November 21st was a very hard work day for me! I couldn't hold still, I had butterflies and I could feel that something was going to happen that night...and sure enough it did!

On November 21st there was a knock at my door. When I opened the door to my surprise there was a black limo waiting for me! Right then and there my heart sank and the butterflies set in. I then could tell this was the real deal. As i got into the limo there was a long stemmed rose waiting for me. As the limo drove me around the Salt Lake Valley I felt like I was on the Bachelor! The tears of joy came to my eyes as I thought, "I am done dating...I'm getting married"! The driver took me to Olympus Hills Park where Chris Mike's friend was waiting. He escorted me to the top of the hill where Mike came out from the bushes in a tux! He lead me off the path to where he had dug a huge heart in the dirt and lined it with sparklers. He said some things (Ill spare you the details :) ) and got down on his knee and asked me to marry him!! It took me a sec to say yes because my whole life I had dreamt of the day that I would get proposed to...and it was really happening!!! I said YES!!! He yelled yes really loud to Chris who was down below who set off fireworks in the sky! It was perfect! We got in the limo and he drove us around for awhile before taking us to Olive Garden where both of our parents were awaiting our arrival! It was the perfect engagement!
